Key points to highlight from my teaching philosophy:
My goal is to give students the tools to appreciate and experience music in new ways.
Having classroom procedures and rules are important to take away loud volumes, manage classroom behaviors, and encourages higher learning.
When students have input, they are more likely to be interested in what they are learning about.
It is important for students to always have an adult to talk to even if that adult is a teacher at school.
There should be a variety in the level of ensembles and all students should be encouraged to challenge themselves.
